Think big, think local!

Ever wonder how the local economy plays into all of this economic and government news that’s been coming out recently?

While it’s not nearly as simple as a single concept, there is one major area where support for a local economy also correlates to a successful local government and community:  taxes to provide services.  Without local tax dollars, we would find ourselves without a Fire Department, local police, and schools.

Every time you support a local business, you’re supporting those services we need to have a thriving community.  Since local independent businesses tend to spend more on local supplies and services, even more of your dollars stay in the local economy, and support our local infrastructure.  So next time you’re looking at your decisions, keep those multi-layered benefits in mind.   It all adds up to even more reasons to do more than just shop local, but think local!
